Not really, no. Some people may disagree due to the adverts in other countries about Alberta's unsustainable oil sands. But little do they realize that Alberta's not all about the oil and gas industry. There are many other tour spots in this province that have nothing to do with oil and gas and more to do with great scenery and neat history. For instance, the Rocky Mountains are always a great place to travel to, as is the Royal Tyrrell Museum near Drumheller, and even the Calgary Stampede that is hosted in July in Calgary, Alberta.
