Both Niagra Falls and Yosemite Falls are waterfalls. That is probably as similar as they get. While Niagra flows all year, Yosemite Falls may run out of water in the summer. Niagra Falls is also wider than Yosemite Falls.
I have the same question, but apparently fifth grade and finding an answer on the internet is harder than I thought.
Amazingly, Niagra falls is only about 12,000 years old.
Gravity, of course. The fact that the upper great lakes are higher than the lower great lakes might explain it. Water falls over Niagra because it is higher where it comes from than where it goes to. Water flows down hill.
The one who hasn't seen Niagra Falls has one has one more place to visit than the one who has.

There are several hundred waterfalls in the world that are much higher than Niagara Falls.
Other than small towns, Niagra Falls, NY is probably the closest. Buffalo, NY is very lose, too.
