The Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna of Russia was the youngest daughter of Tzar Nickolas II. She and all members of the family were murdered by the secret police after the 1917 Revolution. The location of the bodies was unknown for many years and there were rumors that she and Alexei, the crown prince, had survived and several women have claimed to be Anastasia. Just last year DNA testing of remains discovered in 2007 proved they died with their three older sisters and parents.
