If your deck is good and you frequently find yourself in a position where your life points are higher, Ancient Sacred Wyvern should be fine. However, this card has it's most power when your opponents life points are much lower and in that case, you probably already have control of the field. If you pay the 1000 life points to resummon the card, it might cause your life points to be lower than your opponent's and this card will lose attack.
I personally would not recommend this card.
