"In The End" was on the Linkin Park album "Hybrid Theory". It was released in the year 2000. This song is the most popular song of Linkin Park and is often synonymous to them.
It depends on what time period you're referring to; Blink 182 existed first and were the most popular in the late 1990s and early 2000s, whereas Linkin Park came later and have been more popular since the early 2000s. Both great bands.
The first song the band members ever wrote together was "And One" back when they were called "Hybrid Theory". they did not say what the first they wrote during the record making process was when they were actually called "Linkin Park" but it definitely was not "One Step Closer". I don't know for sure coz Im not a band member and all but I always thought when they where called Linkin Park it was Crawling I dont know why maybe coz it was the first song I heard by them I dont know. Most likely Papercut- Grkvui
