There's no such thing as 'moderate autism', nor 'mild autism' or 'severe autism'. A person is either Autistic or they are not, how they are affected can vary but there's no differentiating between different Autistic people based on their abilities or the severity of their symptoms.
The person needs a schedule (not always, some need schedules, some don't)
The person has a hard time speaking e.g. mixes up "I" and "you"
Flicks the hand around, using index finger or middle and index combined, kind of scrolling around on a touch screen, but with the persons fingers.
Doesn't understand a lot, e.g. doesn't understand mean jokes, some jokes at all, etc.
