No. The Iraq War was not necessary for the United States to be safe and secure. Iraq, although a regional problem, was not a threat to the United States.
The war in Iraq is called this because the war is within Iraq, its not with any other country. Iraq is having civil wars. Iraq can not stabilize their government or economy.
Technically, because Congress never approved of it, Iraq is labeled an Invasion.
The reason Australia is fighting the war in Iraq is because we have an alliance agreement with America so we are supporting them. Im fairly sure America has pulled out now, so Im fairly sure we are now there so terrorism doesnt get out of hamd and affect our country. Preventing the problem before it occurs.
