Avicennia marina
The Avicennia Marina is a species of mangrove more commonly known as the Grey Mangrove or the White Mangrove. It can be found along the east coast of Africa, South-East Asia, and into Australia. It can also be found in some areas of New Zealand.
The Grey Mangrove or White Mangrove is the common name of Avicenna Marina. This tree can grow only in intertidal regions or between the high and low water tide mark.

The scientific name of a mangrove tree is Rhizophora. It is a genus of tropical and subtropical trees and shrubs that grow in coastal intertidal zones.

The Sunderbans is mostly in the People's Republic of Bangladesh and some is in India. It has a mangrove forests, Bengal tigers, Chital deer, crocodiles, and snakes. The plants besides the mangrove (Avicennia officinalis and Heritiera fomes)are Hibiscus tiliaceus, sedges, creepers and grasses.

The lastest proposal for a marina at clump point mission beach claims to provide a "safe" marina. It will accomaodate a mangrove habitat, a fisherman's village, public facilities, parking area, five short term berths, 176 boat berths and one berth for a super yacht.
