Bangladesh has huge gap between rich and poor. Here people drive HUMMER, ESCALADE, PRADO SUV s and at the roadside some people sleep on the foot walk and stays in their plastic bag made home, bathes there, eats there. Its like there is a huge gap. There are filthy rich people and there are super hungry, needy people. It has 7 or 8 hotels that are ranked as 5 star. The garments business men kept the country alive by exporting ready made garments. The seaside people, fishermen, farmers, landless people are living on the edge. The always worry just about their next meal nothing else! It is the greatest victim of climate change and this tiny geographic area holding 160 million people is falling under huge problem.

Its HDI percentage is 0. 558 which ranks 142 out of a total of 187 countries. While the country is by no means rich, there are many countries where people are worse off.
