How do you judge such a nebulous thing.
Yes, the boeing 737 is the most popular aircraft on the planet, with 1 million 737 taking off and landing every day.AnswerIt depends on how you define "popular". In terms of largest number of sales of all time then the above answer is correct. However, if you mean "most popular now", then Airbus is the more popular, as shown conclusively by the following sales figures. |2011 orders: Boeing - 428, Airbus - 1231 (almost 3 times more than Boeing)|2010 orders: Boeing - 530, Airbus - 574|2009 orders: Boeing - 142, Airbus - 271|2008 orders: Boeing - 662, Airbus - 777Airbus clearly has more sales so at the moment, Airbus is more popular than Boeing, rather than the other way around.

1. Why did the U.S. government decide to reopen the long-running trade dispute between Boeing and Airbus in 2004
The comapnies that make areoplanes are: 1.GKN areospace 2.Airbus 3.Boeing ...
There are more than 1 million types of planes in the world
In November 2014 Air Canada has 77 different Airbus aircraft, 41 of those are the Airbus A320-200( roughly equivalent to the Boeing 737-400 )In November 2014 Air Canada has 77 different Airbus aircraft, 41 of those are the Airbus A320-200
No, it needs a Boeing 777-200LR to do that and it was done recently -twice in succesion. In other words the Boeing 777 went completely round the world with only 1 stop. The route was from Boeing Seattle with a refuel in Bangladesh. The 747 can get just over 1/3rd of the way around the world.
That is an opinion, but Gulfstream, Dassault Falcon, and Bombardier Challenger would have to be the top 3. Although any aircraft can be made corporate. Boeing and Airbus make a sweet private jet although they are less popular and practical. I would have to say Gulfstream wins it.
There is a difference between the number in service and the number that are fully built but are undergoing flight testing. So as for the number in service (As of July 2011) there are 53 (Including the 1 Airbus test frame). The number that exist is larger than this.
The worlds top 7 largest aircraft: 1. An-225 Mriya 2. Airbus A380, 3. Boeing 747-400ER 4. An-124 Ruslan 5. C-5 Galaxy 6. Airbus A340-600 HGW 7. Boeing 777-300ER 8. And the Next Largest Plane may be the Boeing 797 Blended-Wing Aircraft. This looks like a flying wing but is actually a blended wing. The mammoth plane will have a wing span of 265 feet compared to the 747's 211 feet, and is designed to fit within the newly created terminals used for the 555 seat Airbus A380, which is 262 feet wide. Airbus is an aircraft manufacturing company rather than a specific aircraft, such as the Boeing 747. The 747-400 can hold a maximum of 660 passengers in single-class configuration, or a more typical 400-420 in three-class. An Airbus A319 can only hold about 156 passengers. The largest Airbus, the A380-800 can carry 853 passengers (1-class), but more typically, 525 in 3-class.
