160 inch/pounds
122inch lb
Cylinder Head Torque is 190 inch pounds or 22.0nm
Head Bolts should be torqued at 185 inch pounds
You might have weakened the bolt, causing it to shear when you run the engine
It is at the rear, bottom of the engine and it usually has a square bolt.
You need to specify the engine model/ series. It could be any where from 160in lbs. to 220 in lbs. or 35 ft lbs.
On a horizontal crankshaft engine it is done by loosening the pinch bolt and rotating the shaft in a clockwise direction with the throttle in the high speed position and retightening
you need to hold the inner screw while tightening the outer nut
the bolt in bottom center of carburetor bowl has holes in it that are stopped up like mine was.
Take all the shrouds off remove the head bolt remove the head gasket clean off the dirt then reverse the process. Hope this helps
I need to know how to remove a bolt from a pulley assembly on a Briggs and Stratton 8 hp vertical lawn mower engine. It seems to be rusty. I tied DW40 and vise grips and shaft slips. Any suggestions?
