But later in August 2011, a study of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) revealed that this was not really its source of inception, and told that it originates from the Angsi glacier on the northern side of the Himalayas, in the Tibetan country of Burang. They revised its length form 2900 km-3350 km to 3848 km.
