Christmas is the celebration of Jesus' BIRTH, NOT his death.
It should be noted that Jesus was not born on December 25th, we are not told his birthdate in any of the gospel accounts. although we can make educated guesses. The months of the year were different at that time, so errors in the calandar could be to blame. It has been said that the 25th December was chosen as Hannukah was at this time. also, the winter solstice- the symbolism of the dying & rising of the sun...this is linked to Jesus.
Easter is when we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus when was crucified at Golgotha then rose again on the third day.
The actual death of Jesus is not celebrated, but the resurrection & ascension is. The resurection is called Easter, and when He died on the cross, it is called ' Good Friday'.
Partly true, except that you state the actual death is not celebrated. On the very next line you state when he died on the cross, it's called Good Friday. Good Friday IS celebrated, and is in fact a statutory holiday in many countries.
In addition, Hannukah is NOT celebrated on December 25. The eighth day of Hannukah is already passed by Christmas. Hannukah is also a MUCH more modern holiday than Christmas. Hannukah was only celebrated by the most orthodox Jews in ancient times.
Christmas was celebrated by Christians before, but now almost everyone celebrates Christmas! It was celebrated by the Christians because it was the day Jesus Christ was born! It is done in order to retain the remembrance of Jesus, and also exalt him!
It should be that way, unfortunately not everyone connects Jesus with Christmas in Russia

Jesus Christ. Or St Nicholas Jesus Christ's birthday is celebrated on Christmas.
Christmas is not celebrated by the Jews, because they do not accept Jesus as being anything more than just another human being. Only Christians celebrate Christmas, the birth of Jesus Christ.
Because it is when we celebrate the birth of Christ! Jesus was born!

Not Jesus' Birthday: Jesus' resurrection is celebrated on Easter. His birthday is celebrated on Christmas Day.
