Well it depends. The gameplay itself MAY be... It is a first person shooter. Make sure you go to settings and turn "blood" off, and make sure voice chat stays off while in game (activate/inactivate with "F8"). There's nothing wrong with voice chat, there are no preditors on Combat Arms. But if you want to be safe (since we are talking about a nine year old playing it), I suggest you leave it off.
