No, regarding the Wicked Witch of the East; yes, regarding the Wicked Witch of the West. Dorothy Gale doesn't fear the Wicked Witch of the East. For her house falls on top of, and kills, the Witch. But Dorothy fears the Wicked Witch of the West. For she witnesses the Witch's cruelty. Glinda the Good Witch gives Dorothy the Slippers of the Wicked Witch of the East. The Wicked Witch of the West wants the Slippers, and will do anything to get them. Dorothy realizes this, and keeps up a brave front in the face of a fearsome foe.
According to the original 1900 book edition, and the beloved 1939 film version, of 'The Wizard of Oz', the Wicked Witch of the West feared water. But decades later, in 1995, Gregory Maguire [b. June 9, 1954] wrote and had published 'Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West'. From that book came the play 'Wicked', in 2003, under the influence of Stephen Lawrence Schwartz [b. March 6, 1948]. So according to the most recent, updated information, Elphaba Thropp pretended to fear water. She wanted to end her life as the Wicked Witch of the West and start anew, outside of Oz, with her loving Prince Fiyero.
The wicked witch hated Dorothy because her sister said she would give her her magical slippers when she died. And when she died Glinda gave Dorothy the slippers.
The answer is a resounding "Maybe.."
This is also the answer to whether we are alone in this world, and whether we will ever find out..
Well she killed her sister, the wicked witch of the east.
and she has the silver(in the book)/ruby (in the movie) slippers.
No of course not they were sisters! Perhaps a sibling like hate but in the end the wicked witch of the west (elphaba) was mournful over her sister. (This is based on the musical and book not the wizard of oz movie.)
Well basically the witch of the west, isn't really wicked at all it is just that madame moribull (wicked) and the wizard potray her as wicked. All she wanted to do was protect the animals that the wizard was capturing and mutating. Its just sh got angry and then people were made to hate her.......it's rather sad really. go see wicked and you'll understand.
No reason is given as to why the Wicked Witch of the West may or may not hate Glinda the Good Witch in the original 1900 book edition of "The Wizard of Oz." Nor is any reason offered in the beloved 1939 movie version "The Wizard of Oz."But if the hatred exists, then it may be due to the fact that the two witches are different in the ways they rule their respective countries and in which they practice their respective crafts. Such a reason may be guessed at by the interpretation that author Gregory Maguire (b. June 9, 1954) gives to the initial feud between the two in their youth. Specifically, Glinda is the beautiful, successful popular girl on campus while the green-skinned Elphaba Thropp, the future Wicked Witch of the West, is more concerned about principles than about popularity.you could listen to that stuff or just watch the play Wicked......its DA BOMB DIGGITY

witch hazel is used as an alternative, more mild approach to alcohal. rubbing alcohal burns very badly, where witch hazel doesn.t but as far as antiseptic, and cleansing power, alchohal wins. witch hazel is nice for kids, who hate the burning feeling. but for an astringent or to be used on your face, witch hazel is the best.
