Elephantiasis is a non - communicable disease.If you are having this disease then a part from your body will swell.Swelling cant spread through one person to other,thus it is non communicable,dear.

Yes, it can. There are two types of elephantiasis. The first being the more common, lymphatic filariasis, is transmitted through female mosquitos. Also, infections caused by elephantiasis can spread throught contact. The second type of elephantiasis is non-filarial elephantiasis. This is obtained through too much contact with volcanic ash.

Elephantiasis is a symptom, not a disease. It is a swelling of the lymphatic system.

Only one form, an infection by Chlamydia trachomatis, is a communicable STD.

The other forms include:

- obstructive lymphedema

- an infection-related lymphangitis

- filariasis, caused by a tropical parasite and transmitted by mosquitoes

- whole body elephantiasis resulting from neurofibromatosis type 1

- Proteus syndrome (congenital tumors and skin disorders)
