well if you didnt read the book edward is only in the beginning then he leaves Bella for a LONG time then that's when she starts to get closer to Jacob. then Alice saw a vision that the "THOUGHT" she was dying so edward tries to kill himself so Bella went to go and tell edward she was alive then Jacob gets mad so he snitches on Bella and then the book is over(=
