Opinions on Full Sail UniversityAnswer 1If you mean Full Sail University in Orlando, it's not a bad school. I've worked in production for many years and have come across talented graduates. However, Full Sail is very, very expensive. Depending on what you want to do in the field, you may or may not need a degree -- most of us who work have no degree or one in another area of study. If you want to work on the technical side of things, a hands-on education can be beneficial, but look around at other programs, too. Answer 2Full Sail overall is not a great school, their intent is to help you get into the animation industry and be successful but really all they do is take your money and lure you in to their school, and make exaggerated fulfillments on jobs you will get after you graduate. It has been over 5 years since I have graduated from there, and have not found any job in the animation field. In addition to that, Full Sail's credits are not recognized at a 4 year university or 3 year college usually in most cases. Answer 3$70,000 for a bachelor's degree may seem like a lot, but Full Sail is honestly no more expensive than most universities. Tuition for many schools (other than community colleges) is well over $100,000. Full Sail has the added bonus of being an accelerated program, meaning you save two years on living expenses and will be out in the business faster than most students. Still, the school is not for everyone. Cost can definitely be a factor, but the most important thing to consider is how fast paced the work is. Classes focus on hand-on use of equipment, but written exams and weekly/nightly readings are still a big part of the grades. Information is technically based rather than theoretical. Post-graduation, you should not expect that job lands in your lap, especially in the current economic climate. The school does work with students for job placement, but you need to have the knowledge and skills to back up your degree.

Alot of money!, fast paced (you can get a bachelors degree in less than 3 years), classes generally 5-6 days a week. No dorms, or on campus living.
