A 'franchise' is when one group is licensed to use a company's business model without being part of that company.
If you imagine McDonalds, some of their restaurants are opened by the company itself, but other venues are franchises, where the people have approached McDonalds and become licensed to operate a store in their name with their products. There are stipulations involved, such as having to decorate the stores a certain way, having to wear certain uniforms, etc. But the owner of the franchise has a direct stake in the success of the franchised store, whereas the manager of a regular McDonalds restaurant is a company employee and does not have a direct stake like that.
So, GameStop is a retail corporation. It opens and owns its own stores under the GameStop name, amongst others. According to GameStop's own FAQ, GameStop does not have a Franchising program, so all stores are corporate owned and never franchises.
$500,000
No.I believe it may vary from franchise to franchise but mostly no.
No. The Gamestop franchise has stopped selling (as well as buying) original Xbox games.
It could cost over £100 in big game franchise shops such as GAME and Gamestation, I would not recommend taking it to be repaired by local none franchise game stores. If you have a warrantie on the con sol you would not have to pay a Penny but if you don't you will have to pay.
if they say gamestop
it depends which gamestop you go to. i got Pokemon xd at gamestop
By control I will assume you mean who runs a Franchise. The Franchise owner controls the franchise. The Franchise owner is controlled by the Franchise Contract.
