there has been 3 generations (not including the American Godzilla) of godzilla, so 2 other godzillas have died

the 1st godzilla was suffocated my a chemical substance created by the humans. the second godzilla melted after absorbing too much radiation(his son became the new godzilla) and godzilla jr grew up and had a son named minilla(minigodzilla) (cycle below from1st godzilla to 2nd godzilla to godzilla jr to minilla)

Godzilla has in some occasions. In the Godzilla(1954) by the oxygen destroyer. In Godzilla vs. Destroyah by having a nuclear meltdown, but his son lived. This one was succeeded by Godzilla 2000. In Godzilla Mothra King Ghidorah:(GMK) All out Attack he was blown up but his heart remained at the bottom of the sea.

The worst of all his deaths was when he was supposedly killed by Mothra's babies. The covered him in the webbing that they shoot UGH! and he sunk under water. My opinion I think the just immobilized him for a while and pushed him out underwater.

Godzilla has died many times including in his very first movie "Godzilla King of the Monsters" but the demand for more movies about him became stronger and they continue to make Godzilla movies. So the answer is yes he did die but in the next movie he always comes back to life.
