Seasonal influenza and H1N1/09 Swine influenza have many of the same symptoms. H1N1 is very highly contagious and transmitted easily from person to person making the pandemic spread rapidly around the world in 2009. The symptoms have been similar for both in most people, although there is a subgroup of people who were at higher risk of complications and death from the Swine Flu. The name is the main reason, as well as the fact that it is a different strain of the flu virus. This caused the media to become attracted, and report about it as well as they do, and create the uproar and hype over it. It is estimated that the regular flu causes between 20,000 to 36,000 deaths a year, however, the CDC and WHO are not involved in the testing, and do not tract the numbers of hospital deaths related to the seasonal flu. So far only 6,000 people WORLD WIDE have died from H1N1, which is a flu virus that has been around for awhile, but not as wide spread as this year. There are many different flu viruses that go around, and mutate and change ever year.

it is slightly dangerous because it evolved from several types of flu.

also, it can spread more quickly than any other type in the recent years, and has hit a different group the most, like teenagers. being in general good health means nothing

No, less people have died of the swine flu in the world then people die of the regular flu in the US. The swine flu will not kill you unless you have a weekend immune system.

Well only a few hundred have it, and not sure how many died or if any have died...so I'd say probably not, although it's at an early stage.
