No. Comets are not flammable and there is no oxygen in space to support combustion. When a comet gets close enough to the sun the ice it is made of starts to vaporize due to the heat, creating a cloud of gas and dust.

comets can do this (depending on there make up) however this is rare as a comet is actually a satelite, it is stuck in a orbit. an asteroid burning up in the atmosphere is more likely, thiese rocks are not in orbit.

It is not likely that Halley's Comet will burn out soon. It has a large core and does not usually pass close enough to the sun to lose its integrity.
