Our idiotic kind comes up with dumb holdiday.
This Buddhist does, not all Buddhists do. Halloween has become a secular holiday in popular culture, separated from its religious roots. Buddhists who come from a culture that celebrates Halloween may do so themselves if they please. But it is not a Buddhist holiday.

Halloween is observed on October 31st and has its roots in the Celtic festival of Samhain and the Christian holiday All Saints' Day, but is today a secular celebration. On Halloween it is common to wear costumes and go trick or treating (go door to door asking for candy).

Halloween is celebrated in USA and is a secular celebration. This is celebrated on 31 st October. This stems from the Christian holiday of All Saints from Ireland. The immigrants brought the festival to USA with them. Similarly St Patrick's Day is an Irish holiday.
Hallow's eve. The night before All Saints, which is where it got its name "All Hallow's Eve" - All Hallows is an old English term for All Saints, and thus it was the evening before All Saints. The civic, secular, Halloween is a horrible corruption of the true Halloween. (Because it focuses on demons and ghosts in place of God's Holy Ones. This ruins the meaning of it)
Secular music
no it is not a secular state
