Well, I guess we'll find out, won't we? Most people believe that he is wrong.

Actually Harold Camping said the rapture, the catching away of all "true believers", was to happen on May 21st, 2011, "the Bible guarantees it" as he put it. Well not the Bible as we would read it. October 21st was to be the final judgement day when God the Creator would judge the world in righteousness. In hind sight from the date of November 16th, his timeline was wrong.
YES there will be a date May 21 2011 but it will not be Judgement day. Harold camping is a false prophet.
No, a Christian radio broadcaster, by the name of Harold Camping, made this prediction for 2011. It did cause a bit of a panic in some circles, but it did not occur.

Harold Camping
Harold Camping founder of the radio family group, back in the late 80's said the world would come to an end on September 1994 and guess what? he failed back then too!
Harold Camping, who obviously knows nothing because I'm answering this question on May 25th.
Although he may not have been alone in his prediction of the end, Harold Camping seemed to be the loudest.
Well he appears to be wrong about Oct 21st, 2011 as he was about May 21, 2011 and the other dates he has given in times past. The errors are due to his use of numerology, of his miss-dating of the age of the earth and date of Noah's Flood, and finding hidden meanings in plain scripture. Paul wrote about mysteries that were hidden in times past, but he said that they were revealed in Jesus. Jesus it the fulfilment of all God's hidden truths. Harold Camping also forgot the scripture where Jesus Christ said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Children are more concrete thinkers, they are not looking for hidden meanings nor are they given to numerology. Just let the Bible mean what it means and let us do what it says.
Harold Camping is a nearly 90 year old man living in California. He is the owner of Family Radio International and has become quite famous for his prediction that the rapture will occur on May 21, 2011. He is quite vocal about his controversial religious beliefs, which include believing that all churches are apostate and anyone who believes in or trusts in a church will not be saved, and that Hell does not exist, but those who are not saved will simply cease to exist altogether.
In reference to the claims made that the "end times" would occur on the 21st of May, 2011, yes, there will be a 23rd of May, 2011 because the rapture did not occur as predicted (again) by scammer, Harold Camping. A prominent Catholic/Christian scholar had this to say about Harold Camping's outrageous claims of the end times: "DENVER, COLO., May 20 (CNA) - The claim being circulated that May 21 will mark the end of the world and be a day of judgment by God has no basis in Scripture or authentic Christian teaching, according to Catholic scholar Dr. Jared Staudt. The professor of theology at the Augustine Institute, located in Denver, said that Biblical teaching and Church tradition show it's clear that it is not scriptural to seek for a date for the day of judgment."
