yes they could become showoffs but good for some people
It can Vary, they're normal people too, not some super race with high IQ's.
A high IQ is not a deciding factor of someone's personality. There are many theories on personality such as is it learned, or instilled in a "soul". I'd say pick up a physiology book if you want to know more. However I have noticed a pattern, some people with a high IQ are rather arrogant and neurotic. I firmly believe those people would be the same if they had a low IQ (they can just use their IQ to validate their "superiority") Hope this helps some Note: my IQ, when it was tested at the age of 11, was 134
Sometimes IQ tests are flawed because people are bad at taking tests. There is also some debate within the scientific community of what IQ actually is.
Tenuous at best. Many people with very high IQ are immature, and mature people may or may not have a high IQ.
High IQ means people are genius from taking the test even it takes along time to be a high IQ to be a genius.
Yes it is possible, but some people are really bad at IQ tests while others are not so they need a better testing option.
I think it would be unlikely that Asperger's Syndrome (AS) would be misidentified as high IQ; however, a person with Asperger's Syndrome might also have a high IQ. A person with AS will have various symptoms, some of which might cause a misdiagnosis of an attention deficit disorder (ADD or ADHD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), a learning disability, or other conditions. As an example, it seems unlikely that a medical professional would explain rarely speaking, an intense interest in doorknobs, lack of eye contact, or experiencing extreme anxiety when lights flash as having a high IQ. A person can have both Asperger's Syndrome and a high IQ, only Asperger's Syndrome, or only a high IQ. Some people with Asperger's Syndrome have a high IQ. Most people with a high IQ do not have Asperger's Syndrome.
That would pretty much depend on which percentage of people is higher...High IQ or Low IQ. If the largest percentage of the population was Low IQ for example than they would continue to produce a large number of Low IQ children and those children would then chose equally Low IQ mates the IQ of general society would be low. If the largest percentage of people was High IQ then again the number of High IQ people would continue to rise. High or low eventually society would even out to a fairly consistant IQ level through out the population. If this IQ level is high society may become more advanced and progress. If this IQ level is low then society may fall behind and not progress well.
It affects people in a good & bad way.
I believe it is, because I think that is how high your IQ has to be in order to be gifted. If it is not a high IQ then it is a very close to gifted average IQ.
intellectually gifted is also known as mentally gifted... - are people with very high mental capacity/ very high IQ... - people who gain IQ higher than average...
A high functioning DS can have an IQ in the 60's most are quite a bit lower.
