Is a team of Weavile Infernape ambipom gliscor staraptor and gyrados a good team on Pokemon platinum?

weavile- weavile is definitely a good pick, despite its weaknesses and movepool, make sure it learns dark pulse, and a few good tms. don't learn metal claw. 6.5 out of 10.
infernape- starters are always reliable, close combat, flamethrower are good choices. flare blitz is your choice. 9 out of 10
ambipom- don't have much experience with ambipom, but this is probably your weakest, which is why it needs some decent moves. i like swift and last resort, because they get STAB. otherwise it's your choice. 6 out of 10.
gliscor- i have one, and its pretty good. substitute is good because of it's incredible defence. don't use earthquake because it's attack stat is twice as good as its sp.atk stat. that's why i use dig for it. i like to use x-scissor as a finish-off, or training move. 7.5 out of 10.
staraptor- very reliable, fly, and brave bird are good because of STAB. endeavor, double team are good. NO take down or agility. defog for out-of-battle is OK. close combat can deal with normal types, but it doesn't get stab, and your infernape already knows it, so its your choice.
try to get an attack other than a flying type move, and don't go for pure power. 8 out of 10.
gyrados- very powerful. dragon dance, rain dance, hydro pump are good. surf is better than aqua tail. if you do learn dragon dance, make sure you have a few psychical moves. i wouldn't do hyper beam. 8.5 out of 10.
overall i give em' a 7.5 out of 10. i would keep this team, its not bad, and does not go for pure power.

you have a good team...it would have helped to put the moves... it seems you favour your infernape based on how much higher the level is from the other Pokemon, so work on your other Pokemon and don't put infernape to battle unless it's mandatory
