No, it's not.
Hi Friends, I have always been thinking that how can you determine which processor is compatible with a particular mobo.. Is there any calculation or something.. Plz reply ASAP... Check the motherboard manufacturer's web site. Not all graphics cards are compatible with all motherboards either Faraaz: Thanks [[Q/User:Daviduk99|http://wiki.answers.com/Q/User:Daviduk99]]. but that doesnt answers my question.. Just wanna know whether there is any calculation to determine that a mobo is compatible with processor.. For Eg. you cannot connect a P4 on a 400-500 MHz Mobo.. So I wanna know the reason..Look for a model number on the Motherboard and Google it. It will tell you what kind of processors it supports. I'm more familiar with AMD, which currently has AM2 and AM3 socket types. Intel has several types of socket types as well. There are no calculations you can do that will tell you if they are compatible. The primary compatibility issue would be whether or not the pins will fit into the slots on the motherboard. -justws
it depends, all mobos should be compatible with ur graphics card but definitely if the grafix card is integrated in to the mobo lol
No, you cannot. I've tried it myself. Not a single s1 CPU is compatible / backward compitable with any other s1 socket. So, in your case... a s1g1 socket CPU will not function in a s1g2 mobo. For a s1g2 mobo, a better (dual) core CPU would be a turion x2 ultra zm serie, a turion x2 rm serie or an athlon x2 Ql serie. I used a si-40 sempron with 25 watts tdp. Now I'm running a rm 72 with 35 watts tdp. Temps are not an issue. The CPU is runing a little under or over 50 degrees celsius.
Download CPU-Z and then run. On the motherboard tab, you can use those info for searching the web if that particular product (Mobo) is SLI or maybe Crossfire compatible.

Most chips I've seen come with instructions. Not all of them are the same, and there are numerous varieties so there are no generic installation instructions. The only addition to the answer above would be that You solder the chip on to your mobo,
He has been nominated for a MOBO award twice.
you will need to get pin count between your mobo and the processor you want to use Ok thank you, both are 940 pin AM2+ sockets are backwards compatible with both AM2 and AMD2+ processors. While AM2 sockets should be able to accept any AM2+ processor as well as AM2 CPUs, this usually is dependent on a BIOS upgrade of the system first, and many manufacturers have not provided such support.

Mobo
A "mobo" is short for "motherboard", which it means the system board inside your computer that houses all the components to make the computer work.
