Within Jagex there are many diffrent positions. Jobs can include community managers game design, programming, etc. The list can go on and on. Realistically if your looking at this pay wise, each job has different pay. if your looking at it in general, it depends how much you like your job.

Be more specific in your answer next time, I would be easier to answer ^^.

I think its a good company, they created FunOrb and Runescape, both of which are rather popular. They are very trustworthy, and overall they are just good eggs ^_^.

Another opinion is that they are not much unlike the bush administration. Runescape was innovative 7 years ago, in that it is a RPG that only needs a browser to play and run. This was brilliant! but in 7 years that has been the largest, and only, contribution to the gaming world. They have evolved into a typical company. Runescape(jagex) prays on a type of gamer known as a "completionist" This is a gamer that has an need to get everything that a game has to offer, While this is possible in other famous MMORPG's (but in their jagex's defense, alot of games are coming out with items that cannot be obtained by everyone) in say 3 years of 40 hour a week gaming. this would be impossible in Runescape, and it seems this is jagex's (dirty)tactic for keeping players.

unfortunately a completionist that starts runescape today, won't come close to achieving everything the game has to offer in much short of 5 years, at 40 hours a week. (at least a $300.00 US investment) Like i said above, this seems to be the tactic to keep accounts. Granted this is only the majority of RPG enthusiast, and the fact that the whole premise driving RS is grinding and leveling, jagex is now trying to emphasis on community? A community where players compete to kill monsters with certain drops. A community that at is core is competitive to be the player with the most, insert whatever here?

With the exception of the penguin hunt, only available to paying players, even the community events, evil tree, shooting star, are very competitive.

In defense of the penguin hunters, this is the best community event that the game offers, every week, penguins are released throughout the game worlds and players can spy on them for experience or in game currency. A Community of players, headed by in game( not jagex affiliates or employees )players, work together to provide up to date locations of the penguins. only available to paying players.

the rest of the community events are centered around items of no value, where groups of friends can play games...like hide and seek, and races...

Where you log into a basic 3d world and type to your online "friends", oh, you you can now play games, with no reward, with your friends.... (sounds like alot of fun)

part of the fun of a game is being able to see a goal and accomplishing this goal. The light at the end of a runescape tunnel takes as much determination as a full time job, and the time it would take to earn a retirement.

Having said that, most of those high lvl characters you see wandering around, are 16-18 years of age and have been playing for 5 years, while their parents support their addiction, for those of you not in this demographic, i am sorry, but conversation with these children(who pretend to be airline pilots, doctors, and many other serious professions) reveals their age, maturity and generally unpleasant dispositions.

Since revealing real life information is forbidden, and asking is an even more serious offense, these statistics are not set in stone, but just a casual study by some college graduates that had their hopes up.

Runescape does nothing to change this, the updates make items and in game currency harder to get for those who cannot play a game 20 hours a week, even though they state that it is to bring the community together. The "Bush administration" like tactics have only succeeded in 2 things, making those in the game who are already wealthy, wealthier, and make the new players have a much longer road to have any sort of serious accomplishment.

Even though the price of membership is fair, the time it will take for a new member achieve serious loot(that can be lost on death! yes lost on death(driving the in game currency prices up even more!)) one will have to invest at least $150.00 us ( around 2 years membership)

and this is only to obtain one serious item. If taking a model like FF7, (arguably one of the most successful rpgs ever made) almost everything could be achieved in around 99 hours.

but that wouldn't sell memberships now would it?

this is alot of money to a company that is not making a game that helps all players, jagex, you cannot have your cake and eat it too.

Fun orb, is a complete waste of money. Their are hundreds of online gaming sites with more innovative, fun and FREE! games. The motivation behind fun orb seems to be the same as the drive in petroleum companies(exploitation)

Do not waste your time with fun orb games, that fact that you have to pay for them is complete and utter nonsense, not to mention insulting. If you want a good game online, Type in a search bar "online (genre of your choice) game" you will get 10 sites with 20 games each. Granted only 2 or 3 are real gems, but you didn't waste any money! Fun Orb just furthers my assumption that jagex is looking at the bottom line and not the game anymore.
