The main countries who fought on the Allies' side were Poland, China, Russia, Great Britain, France, and the United States. The main countries who fought on the Axis side were Germany, Italy, and Japan. The U.S. was neutral until Japan invaded China, which made the U.S. angry. The U.S. then cut off Japan's oil supply, which made Japan angry. Japan then attacked Pearl Harbor, the major naval base for the U.S. The U.S. then declared war on Japan (Axis Powers) and joined the Allie Powers. Overall, the U.S. got itself involved in the war.
The primary Allied forces were China, Russia, France, England and the US. The Axis powers were Japan, Germany and Italy.
