In Sunrise, Leafpool resigned her position as medicine cat, saying that she was no longer worthy to serve as the medicine cat of Thunderclan. However, whether she is still a medicine cat as of series 4 is not known for sure.
LEafpool still knows all of the things needed to become a medicine cat, but resigns after admiting that she had kits with crowfeather. Jayfeather remains medicine cat in "Omen of the Stars"

∙ 12y agoleafpool steps down from being med. cat after the clan finds out she not only lied, but had kits when it is strictly against the medicine cat ways. She leaves it to Jayfeather, but even the dumbest of people can tell he wasn't just quite ready to take on a medicine cat ways.. And leafpool is just not fit to be a warrior.

∙ 12y agoYes, Crowfeather. but she comes back after meeting Midnight the badger saying that al the badgers the clans drove out would attack Thunderclan camp in revenge. And (Spoiler alert) Leafpool bears her kits and gives them to her sister Squirrelflight so nobody would know. The kits are Hollykit (Hollypaw, then Hollyleaf), Jaykit (Jaypaw, then Jayfeather), and Lionkit (Lionpaw, then Lionblaze).
Leafpool is a medicine cat. She serves ThunderClan as its primary healer and is responsible for gathering and administering herbs, as well as interpreting signs and omens from StarClan.
