MDMA poisoning is rare if impossible as Downing notes that oral doses administered in therapy are less than 1 per cent of the LD50 (the dose that kills 50 per cent of rats or mice given the drug), implying a high margin of safety. What you need to watch out for is drinking too much water, or too little, or staying in a hot room. This could caused water toxicity (brain swelling = death) or you could get heatstroke/dehydrated leading to potential death. One pint an hour of water should suffice.
There is a debate re: neurotoxicity, but that isn't about death, neurotoxicity is unproven in human beings and in an American study they injected methamphetamine (a known neurotoxic drug) rather than MDMA when trying to prove MDMA is neurotoxic. Also, in later studies the amount are administered intraveneously, and x12 times the regular oral dose is injected. If you inject large amounts of any drug, it would probably be bad for you, even paracetemol which at that dose would kill you. So in my eyes, these studies prove little and seem poorly formulated.
I have read an article that stated that no one is allergic to MDMA (see Guardian Online) and in the British Science Journal is rated as safer than alcohol and tobacco by a big margin.
Too, it is worth pointing out that while in low non-regular usage it may be safe, using it many times probably isn't good for you, as binging on anything is bad for you! Once a month is probably safe to do - maybe 1/3 g of pure MDMA would be a safe amount depending on your size/weight. In my estimation, MDMA is a very safe drug and is used by many safely. Dont however mix it with MAOI's and SSRI prescription drugs - read the wiki page to find out what else you shouldn't mix it with.
It's certainly not good for you if you're doing way too much. Self medicating is bad.. But really, drugs don't get a chance to do alot of damage if you used them very modestly
3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA)
The chemical formula of MDMA is C11H15O2.
No, there are no other medicines that use MDMA.
MDMA is short for 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine.
MDMA (methaldyoxidemethamphemtamines) have various negative affects. Probably the most noticeable being depression for a few days after use. It also affects short term memory during and even after the drug is out of one's system. All the brain's serotonin is released into the body and can affect the part of the brain that creates serotonin. It has been known to cause anxiety issues within heavy users as well as memory loss or even brain damage depending on how extreme the use is. Serotonin depletion can be countered by taking a supplement such as 5-HTP after MDMA use. Many scientists believe that most mental damage caused by clubbers taking MDMA is caused more by sleep deprivation than the MDMA itself. Although MDMA has been projected as an extremely harmful drug by the media, scientific studies have shown that it is far less harmful than legal drugs such as tobacco and alcohol. In fact, UK deaths attributed to "ecstasy" represent less than one tenth of one percent of deaths attributed to legal pain killers. No. MDMA is only effective if ingested.
If you mix paracetamol and MDMA you make heroin

The cast of Mdma - 2011 includes: Tao Lin
Who ever answered that is stupid, no offense. But there isn't really a way of telling other then MDMA comes in capsules and the capsule is see-through and you can see that the MDMA powder is tinted brown. You can't have a "sample" of MDMA if you asked a real dealer that he'd laugh at you.
There are a lot of slang words for MDMA. "Ecstasy" and "Molly" are two of the most common. You might also hear "E," "XTC," "X," "Adam," "hug," "beans," "clarity," "lover's speed," and "love drug."
