This is a matter of opinion it depends on what you like Modern Warfare 2 is a more fast paced couple shot kill game. Halo Reach is a little slower and isn't a game where you shoot two to three times and the player dies. It is really different in many other ways though. ANSWER : It doesn't matter about shooting , its the campaign and multiplayer. The campaign is great for Halo Reach and more action while the multiplayer is also great . The ranking for Halo Reach is hard work. MW2 is just duck and shoot in my opinion

Modern Warfare 2 is very popular, but Halo Reach is still in production (yet looks very promising). Besides, which is better is more of an opinion anyway. As stated above it is an opinion. Depending on what gameplay you like, art style, map themes, and more you could love one and hate the other. I agree with the previous poster, Halo: Reach looks very promising featuring Spartan IIs, not the Master Chief. You run with an entire squad instead of on your own, and there are female spartans. As well as major graphics and SFX overhaul, the game looks to be superb at this point.

Depends really, CoD is all about guns and has more detail but halo has vehichles, long levels and endless amounts of user-created content. The ODST campaign was a bit of a dissapointment compared to the halo 3 campaign, however, with ODST you get another disc with all halo 3 multiplayer maps (which are really good) and with it you could try the Reach Beta (which is now unfortunately over).Halo multiplayer is quite better as you can also make your own maps or mini games, but CoD gets quite boring as there are no proper minigames, just missions (campaign and spec ops) and multiplayer. If I were you Instead of buying ODST you could buy Reach or instead of buying Modern Warfare 2 you could get CoD World at war or Black ops (which both have zombies minigame). It's your choice but you might want to think about the newer games.
