Mac OS X is the operating system used by G5 Macs. The latest version of Mac OS X that will work on a G5 is Mac OS X 10.5 (also known as Leopard).
The G5 came with the OS 9 operating system and had a Power PC processor. It was the last edition of Mac OS. The iMac switched to the OSx operating system with the next iMac. There was an education only model G5 that did ship with OSx Panther.
There was no Mac Pro G5. The Power Mac G5 was discontinued in 2006 and replaced by the Mac Pro with an Intel Xeon 5100 series "Woodcrest" processor.
As Sims 3 requires a Mac with an Intel processor it will not run on a Mac with a G5 processor.
The Power Mac G5 was released in June 2003 and discontinued in August 2006. The G5 referred to the PowerPC G5 CPU produced by IBM and used in this line of computers.

no it won't sorry :(
Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) only works with Macs with an Intel processor. The last version that will work with a G5 Mac is 10.5 (Leopard).
Because you can't use Boot camp on a G5. Because a G5 uses a PowerPC processor, not an Intel one. There is no way to run Windows on such a Mac except via a (very slow) emulator.
There are several places a person can go to purchase the Apple Power Mac G5 online. Websites such as Amazon stock these computers as well as the Apple Store.
There was no G5 Mac Pro. The Power Mac G5 was discontinued in 2006. If it meets the needs for whatever the studio does then it will be good. It will have increasingly limited usefulness as it cannot run Mac OS X higher then 10.5 (Leopard) and so will not run software designed to work with the current Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) and the forthcoming 10.7 (Lion).
