Actually YES, it's a very cloudy state. I'm not sure what % exactly but I live in Maine and it seems to be 70+% cloudy on any given year. Winters are harsh and dark, springs are wet and cold, the summers are so humid you can't breath, and it rains or snows all the time. The only time of year that is nice in Maine is perhaps the Fall. About 2 good months of weather in the Fall out of 3 in which the humidity isn't choking you and/or it's not raining. Often when it's not raining it's just plan cloudy. Not to say that each month doesn't have some sunny days, just that if you add up all the cloudy days vs the sunny ones they are mostly cloudy. Studies & Statistics show that Maine's suicide rate is actually higher than the national average, this maybe due to all the gloomy weather. But like is said there are some nice days, and in the Fall there seems to be a couple months when it's warm without being too hot or cold, and the air is more breathable. But even then there are falls when we get nothing but rain.
