No they were just the carriers of jesus
God Himself did not have any parents. Since He has always existed (and is a spirit rather than a human anyways), He does not have parents. Now, as for Jesus (being God as a human), His earthly mother, as many know, was Mary.
To be dedicated to God, as her parents prayed for years to have a child.
God told Joshua to be brave and courageous.
Yes (Joshua 24:29).
Joshua was completely faithful to God and in return God gave him land and wisdom as it says in the bible 'Joshua ch 1 vrs 3" Every place upon which the sole of your foot will tread to you people I will give, just as I promised to Moses" God had said this to Joshua
In Joshua 1:1-9 God encouraged Joshua. God spoke directly to Joshua encouraging him to enter the promise land with the people of Israel. The words that God used were - "I will give you every place where you set your foot", "No one will be able to stand up against you", "As I was with Moses so I will be with you", "Be strong and courageous because you will lead these people to inerit the land I swore to their forefathers to give them". There were more encouraging words that God used to speak to Joshua so that he would have courage. The question I ask is why did God use these words? God chose His words carefully before speaking to Joshua. God would only use such words if He knew that Joshua needed it. Maybe Joshua was not sure of the task ahead? But the bible shows us that God encouraged Joshua. It is amazing how much God knows us and understands us. God knew what was going through the mind of Joshua. So God encouraged him. If there was anywhere that Joshua must have found courage it was in Joshua chapter 1 when God encouraged him. In verse 10 after God had encoraged Joshua - the bible tells us that Joshua got up and told the leaders of Israel to get ready for in three days time they would cross the Jordan river and take possession of the promised land. After God had encouraged Joshua - Joshua had the courage to cross over and take possession of the promise land. God gave Joshua courage.
Joshua respected and obeyed God because he had seen God's deliverance and wonders directly in Egypt and on the mountain with Moses.
Because they were of Davidic lineage & were very faithful to God.
Virgin Mary was a Jew. She learned about God like any other Jewish people - from her family and in the synagogue. While still an infant it is said that Mary's parents turned her over to the local synagogue where she lived until she turn 14 and became of the age many girls of her time were married. She was then returned to her parents.
Joshua was commissioned to lead God's people into Canaan after the death of Moses. God instructed Joshua to be strong and courageous, promising to be with him just as He was with Moses. Joshua successfully led the Israelites across the Jordan River and into the Promised Land.
It is important to obey God now as in the days of Moses and Joshua.
