Stephenie wants to work on some other projects. She might not even finish midnight sun at all. And if she does it will be at least 3 years till she does.
^ That is true but I have heard that she will for sure not write anymore because of the mayhem and she enjoys being reconized but its just too more. She also says that it is a true honour for her bloodthirsty saga to have made it so far. :) I really do wish she would write another book though its very sad to see the saga end...

As far as we know, Midnight Sun will never be released. Stephenie Meyer said she was not going to write anymore, and even if she did, it is on her PC, where none of us can get it.

Midnight Sun has not been made into a movie because Stephenie Meyer has not finished writing it because of that internet leak crisis. And she will not finish writing it until everyone forgets about it so she can write in peace. Please respect Stephenie Meyer's wishes.
