I'm about half way through it and it's a great book. I love the characters, and how it tells each of their stories, instead of just one of the characters. The author tells the story as, he did this, she said this, instead of I did/said that. Between each chapter is in different characters point of views, so you can get to know each of the main characters.
As for the midnighters series: Midnighters Book one The secret hour is worth 10 points. Midnighters Book two Touching Darkness is worth 11 points. Midnighters Book three Blue noon is worth 13 points.
Melissa; the mindcaster.
Midnighters is an awesome book. The best I have ever read. It is about five teenage kids who have an extra hour a day because they were born at the stroke of midnight. They became Midnighters and have to explore this hour all alone. The darklings and slithers (the bad guys) created the secret hour to excape human technologies. They usually don't bother the Midnighters but then when the new girl,Jessica Day, comes to town the darklings go out of their way to try and kill her. The other midnighters find her and save her using steel and thirteen letter words. The other midnighters are Rex Melissa and Dess. Later Jessica meets Johnathan another midnighter who the others don't talk about. I highly recomend this book for any and everyone.
A good theme for the book "Midnighters" could be the exploration of hidden secrets and mysteries within a small town, the power of friendship and teamwork in facing unknown danger, and the idea of discovering and embracing one's unique abilities and identity.
I believe not. The series is meant as a trilogy, so there should only be three. He has made a companion novel to a different series before (extras, which goes with the Uglies trilogy) but the Midnighters series is past the time when another book would have been made. Love that series!
