The North side of Mount Everest is in Tibet.
The currency of Nepal (the South side of Mount Everest) is the Nepalese rupee.The currency of Tibet (the North side of Mount Everest) is the Renminbi.
To climb on Mount Everest from the Tibet (North) side there is no minuim age but from the Nepal (South) side you have to be 16.
There very popular trekking routes through Nepal or Tibet ending at Mount Everest. These treks culminate in a visit to the Everest Base Camp on the corresponding side of the mountain (North Side - Tibet; South Side - Nepal).
To climb Mount Everest you need to buy a permit from the local authorites. If you are climbing from the South side this will be Nepal and from the North side it will be Tibet.
Mount Everest has two Base Camps which are located at the bottom of the mountain. The camp on the South side (Nepal) is at a height of 17,400ft and the camp on the North side (Tibet) is at a height of 17,000ft.
On the North (Tibet) side of Mount Everest 7000 meters starts at the North Col camp. On the South (Nepal) side it starts around Camp 3.

To reach the South (Nepal) side of Mount Everest takes around 14 days from Kathmandu. To reach the North (Tibet) side of Mount Everest takes around 10 days.
You can see the summit of Mount Everest from the ground on the North (Tibet) side but not the South (Nepal) side.
