Historical. Noah's recorded in The Bible and is spoken of as a real living person. The story of the flood is accurate, why would they be so specific about the description of the measurements if it wasn't. Also, there is plenty of evidence around the world (layers of rocks/ fossils up impossibly high in mountains) that proves a great flood that did cover the whole earth happened.
SO yeah, Noah's a historical person :)
No historical records or religious texts mention Noah visiting Lice Peeking. It is possible that this is a misunderstanding or a fictional story rather than a documented event.
No
Fictional. Have you found him online historically?
Noah and the Flood
No, the story of Noah Dearborn is not true. It is a fictional story created for a TV movie starring Sidney Poitier as the title character.
The historical position is that neither Noah nor Adam and Eve actually existed. The biblical position is that Noah was after Adam and Eve.
The floodwater doesn't "represent" anything. Noah's Ark is not a fictional story we tell little kids. Noah really lived, he really built a boat, and there really was a flood.
This is because, on a purely secular, historical view, not every person in the Bible was fictional. True, the stories of Adam and Eve, Noah and even Abraham appear to be mythical, and Moses and Joshua probably never existed. But most of the kings of Israel and Judah were real, historical people, whether or not their biblical stories are not factual. The Bible is seen by critical scholars as a mixture of myth, legend and history.
No. A historical story is a fictional story with facts about whatever your story is about.
Noah's arc was a huge ship that apparently carried two of every animal. Historically there are no records that it ever existed.
According to religious texts, it is believed that rain did not occur before the days of Noah.
Yes, the Catholic Church believes that the story of Noah's Ark is a historical event as described in the Bible.
