Not naturally. Oxygen in its natural form is a gas. In order for it to be a solid - it has to be cooled to very low temperatures. Its melting point is 54.36 K or -218.79 °C or -361.82 °F

Can oxygen crystallize?

Oxygen can crystallize at very low temperatures and pressures, forming a blue crystalline solid known as solid oxygen. This is a rare occurrence as oxygen is typically found in the gaseous form at room temperature and pressure.

What is they lustre of oxygen?

Lustre is a qualitative property of substances, which refers to it's 'shinyness' and generally refers to solid metals. Oxygen, however, is almost always found in gaseous form, and if it were to be solid, it would not be lustrous.

What is oxygen's texture is a solid or liquid?

Oxygen is a gas at room temperature and pressure, so it does not have a solid or liquid texture. In its solid form, oxygen is a pale blue crystalline solid called dry ice or solid oxygen. In its liquid form, oxygen is a pale blue liquid.

Why is it that oxygen is always in the form of gas?

Oxygen is not always in the form of a gas. It can be found in liquid form as a component of the compound called water. It can be found in solid form as a component of rust (iron oxide) and many other compounds.Free oxygen is found as a gas on the planet earth because the temperate of the planet's surface and atmosphere are well above the boiling point of molecular oxygen, which is -297 F or -183 C. We use oxygen in liquid form as part of the fuel of some rockets. Then we have to work very hard to condense it out of the air.

Is phosphorous a gas?

Anything can be found in the 3 basic forms or liquid, solid, or gas, but phosphorous is normally found as a solid, but since it reacts with oxygen it is not normally found in an elemental form.

Does oxygen exist in a solid form?

Solid oxygen O2, like liquid oxygen, is a clear substance with a light sky-blue color caused by absorption in the red which occur at normal atmospheric pressure at a temperature below 54.36 K (−218.79 °C, −361.82 °F).It may refer as refer to oxidizers.
