You need to be careful with Permethrin. It is not good to use if you have cats. If you have dogs then it is safer to use but can be bad for pets and humans in large doses. Also do not use around water sources.
Permethrin is safe for children so long as it is sufficiently attached to the clothing it's applied to. Once this is the case it is unlikely to be absorbed.
permethrin
for use at a home garden? are you sure you want to? its an organo-phosphate and a rather nasty substance to use at home. Another view: Permethrin is a synthetic pyrethroid, not an organo-phosphate. Many formulations of this pest killer are available. Read the labels to find one that is appropriate to a particular situation, and follow all label directions. Don't know about the first two answers, but Permethrin is an ointment used to treat head lice, nits, and scabies. Available at any pharmacy. See the related link below.
Permethrin is a suspected human carcinogen. DEET is an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor. It's considered safe enough to use on human skin (in low concentrations). A mixture of a permethrin-based insecticide and a DEET based one shouldn't be any worse than the permethrin one alone. We'd have to know more about what kind of risk you're talking about to give you a better answer than that.
Doggie doors are safe for animals to use. However, it is important to remember that other animals from the outside can come in through those doors aside from your own pets.
"Laser device safety depends on the strength of the laser device, so not all laser devices are safe to use on people or animals. Class 3R and 3A are supposedly not safe for use."
Permethrin is designed to kill insects and other non-mammals. It is not very toxic for humans. It is also poorply absorbed through the skin. Maybe taking a bath in concentrated permethrin could kill you, but any permethrin cream designed for use in humans probably has very little chance of doing anything that is not designed to. (Especially if you follow the directions). -Zach
I always make sure to lock the door to keep my valuables safe when I leave the house.
