There is no guaranteed way of getting a shiney Pokemon this is because it;s a rare event , i got my first shiney Pokemon when i was doing a side quest on Pokemon fire red getting all the unowns - i would say i had been playing non-stop ish for 5 -6 hours , but my brother who has been playing since Pokemon was relased , (and has now got heart gold ) has never had a shiney Pokemon, i haven't heard of this method working but if you have the time to play on it for that long go for it
