Well, there isn't a Petalburg Woods in Pearl... There is an Eterna Woods, though. Basically, it'll be easier if you have the move cut (but can't get that until you beat the gym leader!), but if it's your first time going through, I would suggest to head more to the right than the left. If you hit a dead end, go back to the previous opening that you'd pass. Pokemon perla is a fake game i bought it but then i couldn't get past so i researched it on the internet.
