I think this answer is a little simplistic. He actually has no Greek blood at all. His mother was German, that is true. She was a great grand daughter of Queen Victoria of England, but Victoria too was of German descent. All of Alice's other parents, grandparents, etc ere all German.
His father, Prince Andrew was the son of King George the 1st of Greece & Denmark and Olga of Russia.
First, look at George. 1st He was the son of Prince Christian IX of Denmark and Louise of Hesse-Cassel (German). Christian IX was brought to Denmark to assume the throne of a childless relative. Where was Prince Christian from? Germany. He was born in the town of Schleswig in Germany, so in essence, George 1st of Greece was German.
What about Olga of Russia? Her mother was German and her father was Russian. He in turn also came from a German mother and a Russian father.
Prince Philip is of German descent. Percentages are difficult to work out with all the inter-marrying that went on, but he is, overwhelmingly, German.

I hate to break it to you, but there isn't one...... the current Queen is Elizabeth II, her husband is Prince Philip. Since he is her husband by marriage and not a direct descendant to the throne, he can't be 'King'. When they first got married, his title was 'His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh'. In 1957 the Queen granted her husband the title of Prince, his title is now 'His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh'. Next in line to the throne is the Queen and Prince Philip's oldest son, Prince Charles. When the Queen dies, he will be 'King Charles'.
Because Prince Philip married a female member of the royal family, whereas Catherine married a male. The royal family often creates differences depending on which gender you are.

The Philippines was named after King Philip II of Spain, who was the ruler when the islands were colonized by the Spanish in the 16th century. The name was given by Spanish explorer Ruy Lรณpez de Villalobos in honor of the king. Additionally, the name might have also been derived from "Las Islas Filipinas," in honor of Prince Philip, who later became King Philip III.
