In 1915, a Raggedy Ann doll cost around $1.00. This price reflected the doll's popularity as a beloved children's toy during that era. The doll was created by Johnny Gruelle and became widely recognized for its unique design and charm. Over the years, Raggedy Ann has remained an enduring symbol of childhood.

The commercial featuring Raggedy Ann and Jimmy Durante was part of a 1970s television advertisement for the "Raggedy Ann" doll produced by the Knickerbocker Toy Company. You can often find it on platforms that host classic commercials or vintage television content, such as YouTube or dedicated nostalgia sites. Additionally, it may be included in compilations of retro commercials or holiday specials from that era.
You can buy a Raggedy Ann doll at most toy stores. You will have best luck going to a specialty toy store as opposed to looking in the to section of a large department store. You would also have luck looking at Amazon, which generally has everything that you may need.
To the best of my knowledge, I saw oodles of cartoons as a kid, Raggedy Ann was never a regular-issue ( like say Bugs Bunny or Mickey Mouse ) television cartoon. there were MOVIE cartoons ( I saw one at camp once) based on the somewhat convoluted and kooky saga of plant rejects who somehow got out of the toy factory though marked for rejection. It was implied they were brother and sister, the usual counterfeit equivalent of (Love) in many stories including, oddly , Ben-Hur. Raggedy Ann and Andy were made by the Knickerbocker Toy Company.
