YES ma'am (or man) even though it says 13 or up it is appropriate and my kids love it!
Runescape is mainly a Teenager based game, but you do have some adults that play it as well.

Runescape is meant for years 13 and over but alot of my friends who are younger play it.there is no real blood and nothing scary so it is a good game for kids over 9.

A good one for young kids is Puzzle Pirates. If your child is 10-15, I would recommend RuneScape.

If you are 13. When you made the account, you put in a birthdate. When you "turn 13", according to the game, you will be able to talk freely.
I don't see so much problem with the game itself; the main problem is other players, who sometimes use inappropriate language.
