For Jewish people it is. But, for Christians Sunday is the right day, because Christ Rose on the first day of the week.
ANOTHER ANSWER:
Obedience to God's Commandments... His Laws... is worshiping Him. Obeying God's Law should be a daily exercise for all men; not just Jews... and not just on one day of the week. The day we call "Saturday" today is the "seventh day" of God's Divinely-inspired seven day week... that by God's decree He MADE on the seventh day of creation [see Gen.2].
All of mankind is commanded to REST from his labors on this cyclical seventh day to REMEMBER CREATION...to REMEMBER our Creator... to REMEMBER that WE WERE and ARE CREATED [not evolved].
But since the first two people disobeyed God's first Law and "chose another god to worship and obey"... the world has FORGOTTEN its Creator and creation.
God's Ten Commandments... of which RESTING on the Sabbath is one... are His Laws of Love that, if OBEYED by all of mankind, would constitute our WORSHIP OF HIM. And that worship would result in "cooperation and harmony around the world!"
LOVE. That missing element in this world that few people understand, because this world worships [OBEYS] the wrong god. Can anyone begin to imagine this world WITHOUT MURDER, LYING, STEALING, STRONG MARRIAGES, the WORSHIP OF [obedience to] OUR CREATOR [His name is Jesus Christ - see John 1:3] ... or EVERYONE REMEMBERING CREATION and observing it ON THE DAY OF THE WEEK OUR CREATOR COMMANDS IT?
The day we call "Saturday" today [the seventh day of God's inspired seven day week] is the "right day" for ALL THE WORLD TO REST from its labors. God made it FOR MAN... not for the JEWS!
It's the LORD's SABBATH [read the Commandment: Ex.20:10]. It's not my Sabbath, or the Jew's Sabbath, or anyone else's. Jesus Christ commanded it Holy on the seventh day of creation... to REMEMBER HIM... and CREATION.
"...'The Sabbath WAS MADE FOR MAN [all men; not just Jews], and not man for the Sabbath: therefore THE SON OF MAN [Jesus Christ; the Almighty Creator God of the Old Testament - see again John 1:3] IS LORD also OF THE SABBATH.'" (Mark 2:27-28)
There were NO JEWS AROUND ON THE SEVENTH DAY OF CREATION [see again, Gen.2]. There were only TWO PEOPLE around that day; one man and one woman from whom all of mankind sprang.
And if all the world were to REMEMBER and OBSERVE the LORD's Sabbath on the seventh day of the week: and if all the world were to OBEY the other 9 Commandments [in other words... LOVE, RESPECT and CARE ABOUT one another]... then all the world would be WORSHIPING God EVERY DAY:
"'If ye keep My Commandments, YE SHALL ABIDE IN MY LOVE; even as I HAVE KEPT My Father's Commandments, and ABIDE IN HIS LOVE... This is My Commandment, THAT YE LOVE ONE ANOTHER, AS I HAVE LOVED YOU. Greater Love hath no man than this, that a man LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS. Ye are My friends, IF YE DO [OBEY] WHATSOEVER I COMMAND YOU.'" (John 15:10-14)
That's how to "worship God." Obey His Laws and Love, Respect and Care about and for one another. All of us... the whole world... not just the Jews.
ANSWER
did you know that God told us to keep the sabbath not the first day of the week? "remember the Sabbath the day by keeping it holy... but the seventh day is a sabbath to the lord your god...For in six days the lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is them, but he reste n the seventh day. Therefore the lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy." (exodus 21:8)
you can also look up genesis 2:2
going to church on Sunday is from Catholic not from bible. In The Bible, God never asked us to keep the Sunday holy or worship on Sundays.
Sunday
Sunday is the day to worship God. You should really worship God all days of the week.
Sunday...Sabath No, the correct answer would be Saturday. The Sabbath is the 7th day of the week. ( Correct answer) Sunday is man's sabbath ( a day made to be enforced by man)/ Saturday is God's ( the day God enforced to be his) The CORRECT answer is..... Sabbath!
Yes we should worship our God everyday. He is our creator, Father, and Savior and deserves our praise, honor and glory to His Holy Name. Sunday is a special day that the saints can gather and worship Him in a body, but He should be worshiped at all times.
You can worship God any day of the week and it will still Sabbath. Sunday is the day that people go to church.
It should actually be Saturday and not Sunday. Saturday is the Sabbath for Jews and some Christians, but Catholics and most major Protestant sects observe Sunday as the Sabbath, but Catholics may attend Saturday evening Mass , as the Jews observe from sundown Friday to sundown Saturday, Catholics now may attend Mass from Saturday thru Sunday.
My understanding is they came from the ancient Pagen worship and their gods. This information I have seen on the History channel. Saturday - Saturn Day Sunday - Sun Day Monday - Moon Day Tuesday - The Pagen God Tews (Tews Day) Wednesday - The Pagen God Wooden (Woodens Day) Thursday - The Pagen God Thor (Thors Day) Friday - The Pagen God Frie (Fries Day)
The Jewish day of worship is Friday evening to Saturday evening. This is known as the Sabbath. Jews do perform the daily prayers on Sunday, just as they do on other weekdays. The longer services and holy day is the Sabbath.
The church of Christ worships on Sundays, because in the old testament of the Bible, God made the Earth in 6 days and rested on the 7th. Therefore, they opt to rest and worship on Sunday just as God did.
In Hinduism, each day of the week is associated or dedicated to a particular god. Hence, Hindus worship on all the seven days of the week. However, Monday, Friday and Saturday are the days in which most of the Hindus go to temple for special Puja or worship.Monday - auspicious for worshiping Lord Shiva - one of the main gods for Hindus.Friday - auspicious for worshiping Goddess Lakshmi (consort of Lord Vishnu) - associated with wealth ;)Saturday - auspicious for worshiping Hanuman and Shani - Shani is feared by Hindus and it is also believed that that 'effects' of Shani is reduced by worshiping Lord Hanuman!
sunday since sabbath is saturday.
I say Easter, as Jesus Christ rose from the dead.
You can worship God anywhere, but every Sunday and on most Wednesday nights Christians gather for special worship together in a church.
