M a patient of known depression... m having major depressive disorder.... and ya.. sometimes i have delusion too.... its sounds more like schizophrenia.... but is it really ?... i cant say.... but one thing i do notice.... delusion is too frequent and its sometimes like hallucination also...

People with 1 parent with schizophrenia have a 9% chance of developing schizophrenia, which is 9 times that of the general population. People with two parents with schizophrenia have a 36% chance of developing schizophrenia, which is 36 times that of the general population. This shows that there is a strong genetic link. There are similar statistics for depression.
