Great Britain is the island comprising the mainlands of Scotland, England and Wales. It is also sometimes used to refer to the combined countries of Scotland, England and Wales.

Great Britain, after the Acts of Union in 1707, was the official name of the country that was created by the union of the Kingdoms of Scotland and England.

In all of these cases Scotland is a part of Great Britain.

Scotland is politically part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland which is geographically part of Europe. However, the UK has voted to leave the European Union, so in 2019 the UK (including Scotland) will no longer be a political part of the EU.

YES!!! It is a constituent kingdom.

Great Britain is an island off the coast of Europe. Scotland, together with England and Wales form the constituent nations on the island of Great Britain.

The full title of the country is 'The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland'.

The name is often shortened to UK , United Kingdom , GB, Great Britain, Britain, and erroneously England. The Scots do not like their nation to be referred to as England. However, they will accept Britain.
