Well I don't think the prices have bottomed yet. According to some leading economists (the ones that predicted the recession - not the ones that said the economy was great) say that house prices are set to fall. Also the cost of vacation rentals is going down too as less people go on vacation, which would make it hard to get a return if you are going to rent the property out.
However, I don't think the bottom is far off and Sea Isle was one of those places that was full of second homes and rental homes and because so many people joined in on the boom too much property has been built there. This means prices have dropped a lot, pushing a lot of people into serious negative equity and forcing them to sell as rental income disappears. So there will be some very good bargains coming soon.
